Online payment gateway
Fee collection runs on declare-and-verify: a parent declares a payment, your staff confirms it, and nothing reaches the ledger until a person signs off. Direct eSewa, Khalti and Fonepay integration sits on the roadmap behind that.
Biometric attendance devices
Attendance is taken in the app, on a phone or in a browser, and it stays that way for institutions that want no hardware at all. Fingerprint, RFID and facial-recognition terminals are next in this area, and the register will not change when they arrive.
Transport and GPS tracking
Transport already bills as a fee head, per student, with the same ledger and receipts as everything else. Vehicles, drivers, routes, stops and live tracking are what we build next on top of it.
SMS
Push and email notifications are standard on every plan, for every parent and every staff member, at no extra cost. SMS follows as a paid add-on, priced separately because the messages themselves cost money.

Built and in testing, not yet released on the stores. Everything works in a mobile browser in the meantime.

- Gyanu, the built-in assistant, is off unless the institution turns it on. AI-written content is labelled and, where it reaches a parent, a teacher approves it first.

- Encrypted and held off-site, in a different jurisdiction from the live platform, on storage an intruder with platform access cannot delete.
- Deletion
- Reversible. Removing a record takes it out of use without destroying it.

- No, and no private software does. Submission runs through official CEHRD and local education office channels using your institution's own credentials. What NepEdu changes is how accurate and ready your underlying records are when you come to report, and it holds the Nepal-specific fields the reporting cycle asks about.
- Does NepEdu support online fee payment?
- Through a declare-and-verify flow rather than a card gateway. A parent declares the payment they made, your staff confirms it, and only then does it reach the fee ledger, which is what keeps your books and your bank account in agreement instead of drifting apart. Direct eSewa, Khalti and Fonepay integration sits on the roadmap behind that.
- Does NepEdu work with biometric attendance machines?
- Attendance runs in the app today, marked by a teacher or by staff on a phone or in a browser, with no hardware to buy, wire or maintain. Fingerprint, RFID and facial-recognition terminals are on the roadmap, and the register will work the same way once they are added. If a device integration is a requirement for you right now, say so on your enquiry and we will tell you exactly where it stands.
- Can we get our data out if we leave?
- Yes. Records export in a readable form, without a support ticket and without a fee. An institution's records should never be hostage to a subscription, so this is worth asking every vendor you evaluate, including us, before you sign rather than after.
- Is NepEdu available in Nepali?
- The public site is available in English and Nepali, and NepEdu handles Nepali text and Bikram Sambat dates throughout, including in the documents it generates. Most administrators in Nepal work in English day to day, so English remains the primary interface language.
