Integrated Educational Management Information System. It is the national system Nepal's education authorities use to collect data from schools.

The Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, working with provincial and local education offices.
What is it used for?
Teacher allocation, scholarship and stipend targeting, textbook and grant distribution, and national education planning. Your school's data feeds decisions that affect your school.
Who at a school does it?
There is no fixed rule. In practice the head teacher is accountable for what is submitted and delegates entry to a named focal person, with a briefed backup.

- IEMIS is the Integrated Educational Management Information System, the national system Nepal's education authorities use to collect data from schools. It is run by CEHRD under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, together with provincial and local education offices, and the data feeds decisions such as teacher allocation, scholarship targeting and grant distribution.
- Where do I find my school's IEMIS code?
- Usually it is already on file: check last cycle's submission printout, correspondence from your local education office, or previous years' reporting files. If it genuinely cannot be found, contact your local education office or palika education section, who hold school-level records for their area.
- What data does a school report to IEMIS?
- Typically enrollment by grade and gender, staff and teacher details, and infrastructure information such as classrooms, toilets and water access, plus additional modules depending on the cycle. The exact indicator list is set by CEHRD and can change each year, so check the current form rather than assuming last year's applies.
- Can IEMIS data be corrected after submission?
- Usually yes, through a verification and correction process managed by the local or provincial education office, though the exact procedure and window can change each year. Report an error as soon as you notice it rather than waiting for someone else to catch it.
- Does school management software submit to IEMIS automatically?
- No, and no private software does. Submission goes through official CEHRD or local education office channels using your school's own credentials. What software changes is how accurate and ready your underlying records are when you come to report.
