The short version
Two very different places
This website (nepedu.com) uses Google Analytics to count visits. That is the only non-essential thing we set, and you can turn it off.
The NepEdu app your school signs in to runs no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking at all. It stores your sign-in token so you stay logged in. Nothing else.
We do not sell what we collect, we do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not share it with advertisers.
What this website sets

Analytics tells us things like “180 people read the pricing section this week”. It does not tell us who you are, and we have not enabled any advertising or remarketing features on it.
Being straight with you
Analytics currently loads when you open the site, before you have been asked. We are not going to pretend that is a considered privacy stance. It is the default we started with, and a consent prompt is on our list. In the meantime, the section below tells you exactly how to opt out, and it takes about ten seconds.
What the NepEdu app stores
Once your school signs in to the platform, the picture is much simpler. The application runs no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking scripts whatsoever. That is deliberate, because the app is full of children’s records and those have no business being fed to anyone else.
- Your sign-in. Something has to be kept in your browser so you stay signed in as you move between pages. Signing out, or clearing your browser data, removes it.
- Small interface preferences. Things like which view you last had open, so the app opens where you left it.
Both are strictly necessary to make the product work, and neither is shared with anyone.
How to turn analytics off
- Your browser. Every major browser can block or clear cookies for a site, usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking them here costs you nothing: this site works perfectly without them.
- Google’s own opt-out. Google publishes a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics on every site you visit, at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- A tracker blocker. Any of the common privacy extensions will block it too, and we are not going to complain about that.
Changes to this page
If we add anything that stores data in your browser, whether a consent prompt or an error-reporting tool, we will list it here and update the date at the top. For the full picture of what we do with data, see the Privacy Policy.
