Design it yourself
Start from ten layouts, then drag fields, the photo, the logo and the QR code where you want them, in landscape or portrait, with undo when you change your mind. Students and staff each get their own design.
Loading…Design your institution's student and staff ID cards yourself, then print a whole class at once, straight from the records you already keep. Every card carries a QR code that tells anyone, a guard at an exam centre or a bus conductor, whether it is genuine and still valid.

Most institutions send a spreadsheet and a folder of photos to a print shop and wait.
Names are retyped by the print shop, and a fifth of the class comes back spelled wrong.
A card made in a design tool has to be redone by hand for every new student who joins mid-year.
Nobody can tell a real card from a colour photocopy of one.
A lost card stays valid forever, because there is nothing to cancel.
Cards carry a date of birth and a home address, printed on something students drop in the street.
Design once, print whenever someone joins, and let anyone check a card.

Names, photos, classes and roll numbers come from the records you already keep. Print ten bank-card-size cards to an A4 sheet with cut marks, or one card at a time for a student who joined this week.
Scan it with any phone camera and a public page says whether the card is genuine, valid, expired or cancelled, with the holder's name, photo and institution. It never shows the class, a phone number or a date of birth.
A lost or replaced card is cancelled with a reason, and its QR code answers "cancelled" from then on, so a card found in the street cannot be used as if it were still good.
A date of birth and a home address cannot be printed on a card at all, and blood group appears only if your institution turns it on. A card is carried and dropped; it should not carry what a stranger should not read.
A class teacher allowed to print cards prints them for the students in their own classes only, and no staff cards, so the job can be shared without opening up the whole institution's records.
